California Unemployment Rate – How Low Can We Go
If you are one of the thousands of California residents that are unemployed then you kind of have an idea of what the California unemployment rate is. But many of us don’t and that is a real problem. There are more and more people loosing their jobs daily. This is the harsh reality of being employed in California. With the economy this bad employers cant afford to pay their employees, meaning either that they have to lay them off or fire
them. It’s really sad because people who are getting laid off it aren’t because they are bad workers. It just means that that employer cans no longer pay them, adding to the California unemployment rate. This is not helping the economy one bit.
There are many unemployed California residents out there trying to find jobs to keep food on the table for their family or even just pay the bills. With so many people unemployed it makes it that much difficult to find a job. For example, three years ago you could go for a job interview and there only be about five other people trying to get that same job. Now days if you go for job interview you will probably be standing in line for a long time before you even get that interview. By the time you get your turn for the interview chances are they already found who they want for the position. This is another thing contributing to be already high California unemployment rate.
If you are wondering what the California unemployment rate is, you might want to brass yourself for this. We are at the highest unemployment rate in California in twenty years. With the California unemployment rate at 12.2 percent as of November 12, 2009 it is not looking too good. The only good news about the unemployment rate being so high, it can only get better as time passes. It’s shocking to think that just two yeas ago are unemployment rate was at a low of five percent.
With times like these you just need to keep looking for work and just stay positive. You did not put yourself in this situation so there is no reason for blame. Times are only going to get better. All you can do is send out your resume and just keep your eyes open for anything new. The California unemployment rate can only go down from here and that’s a good think to look forward to.
